Welcome and thank you for visiting.
Why Grey Space Matters.
In late 2021 I left Bond, the company that in early 2020 acquired rDialogue. For a variety of reasons, mostly personal, it was the right time for what’s best described as a sabbatical. With gratitude for the gift of the most valuable (loyalty) currency of them all – time – it was an opportunity to recharge, celebrate family, travel and think.
Between the changes and the things still requiring change that are increasingly evident in our world, it was also an opportunity to reconsider this next chapter of work. Even though it would have to be different (for a variety of reasons), it was clear that it had to be something with the right group of people, partners and friends from over the years. And of course, some new ones.
It can be easy to be cynical and even pessimistic, but I’ve always found it more rewarding to be the opposite. With no shortage of problems in the world, and in business and society at large, there are also millions of exceptionally smart and committed people, and organizations, with new solutions. And although many of these problems have clear solutions, many remain far from black or white.
Hence the idea behind Grey Space Matters. GSM for short.
GSM is intended to be a modern firm designed for collaboration, innovation, solving problems and igniting growth for companies and organizations that share our commitment not just to capitalism, but to stakeholder capitalism.
Our initial partners include proven global enterprises and emerging companies in the areas of fintech, martech and now, purposetech. Our work is intended to be supported by insights without being mired in “analysis-paralysis”, with sufficient evidence to innovate and undertake managed risks. Most importantly, our work is focused on the objective of taking action.
As with rDialogue, we want to think and act differently, be provocative when appropriate yet with a new core purpose: to clarify what’s not black and white and make the world a better place.
As the Brazilian writer (author of “The Alchemist) Paulo Coelho said, “when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
That sounds pretty clear.
